Florida.
That place shocked my perception of friendship.
What a strange day and age we live in where I can fly across the US in a few hours, arive in a remote area of Florida, and inspire a dozen friends to come visit for New Years.
I was amazed at how many people came out of the woodwork; better company could not be asked for. I spent an entire week with good friends, good food, good booze, and good conversation. There was never a dull moment. I <3 all of you guys.
Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, I hopped on a plane and flew back to California.
Familar faces faded back to being names on a laptop screen.
It's hard to believe that, not two days ago, I was running around Rockledge playing Guitar Hero and having Cake and Pears for lunch.
To everyone who I spent my time in Florida with:
Thank You.
A special thanks goes out to
likeshine,
mac_dragon, and
chaos7 for hosting me for the week. Thanks for making this trip a reality.
In order to summarize my experiance in Florida, here is ( a series of quotes without any context! )
I'll see most of you in two weeks on my own coast for FC. Hard to believe, eh?
In about an hour, I am going to end my brief time back home.
Just as quickly as I appeared, I will hop into my car and drive down to Santa Barbara for a weekend of Rock Climbing, Hiking, and Paint Ball.
You only live once.
Squeeze as much out of it as possible.
Truely,
~Kigs
