An Unusual Easter
Apr. 5th, 2010 12:42 amDear Internet,
This was the first year that I spent Easter away from my family.
It's a strange thing. I won't see them for months at a time, but this year my paycheck schedule didn't let me drive down to the East Bay.
So, instead, my roommates and I had an impromptu "Easter Day Murder Movie Festival.
We started with Hannibal, then moved on to Natural Born Killers, Dawn of the Dead, Slayers, Blade, and finally Blade III. We skipped Blade II because it is terrible.
In one day, we covered serial killers, psychopaths, zombies, and vampires. The only eggs involved in the day were the ones we ate for breakfast.
What started as my roommates and I turned into 8 people hanging out, sorta watching movies, sipping drinks, and having good conversation on a rainy day. I can't remember the last time I spent a nice in the house with my friends. It was pretty relaxing.
Truly,
Kigs
