A change of pace

A couple of you folks have been reading my lj for a while now, and so I've decided to give you guys a peak into the inner workings of my mind. The following is an excerpt from my paper journal. Those who have met me IRL may note that this is the small hand-held journal I carry around on a regular basis and periodically scratch down some thoughts or ideas in.
Most of the following excerpt was written Friday, and the rest are little quotes from assorted dates. A thought sparked across my mind while I was driving, and I pulled off to the side of the road and frantically whipped out my journal and wrote the following. This has not been edited, and I assure you that I was not under the unfluence of any odd drug while writing it. :-p
Music paints the world a Carnival of colors. It provides us with a dizzy view, as if gazing through a beautiful lens of sound.
That one was from a while back. For those of you who wonder where my AIM name comes from, there you go.
We experiance the world through sights, sounds, smells, and textures; all physical aspects of life. It takes a millisecond for a chemical signal from your fingertips to reach your brain, and up to two seconds to respond. So, even as we experiance a moment of life, it has already passed.
Then, a couple days later...
Memories are ghosts of experiances and so, in reality, we experiance the world as a series of memories; fairly recent memories, but memories nonetheless. Memories have the capacity to call forth emotions connected to a past experiance, but we mut remember that they are only pale spectres of the initial event. As a result, we must not dwell in the past, but as close to the present as possible. Live life as it happens.
Those who chase will'O'wisps often fall into a swamp. Those who look back and reflect on the past often forget to look forward and loose their way. On the road of life, looking back too often can cause one to crash into obstacles.
It should be noted that, on the same page as that last little tidbit, there is also a doodle of a happy little gnome with a crooked hat. My mind is a strange place. ^^
Alright, that's enough for now. Perhaps I'll post more later; right now, I want to play with poi.
