Double Take

kigsI DLed this week's episode of Two Sense this morning to discover that my letter had once more gotten on the show. That makes twice. Yay! :)
To clarify a little, I am normally not that angsty. I swear it! For a livejournal user, I like to think I am one of the more mellow, pleasant posters. I could just be fooling myself, but I'm sure you guys would be all too apt to tell me that if it happened.
Anyhow, I got my letter written. Cool beans.
After that, I got a msg back from Furtoonia informing me that my account had finally be created. So I log on, write up my description, wander aimlessly on the MUck, and happen to run into none other then 2 Sense's old host, Jakebe.
We had a pleasant bit of chatter and I realized that he is quite possibly one of the more subtle speakers I have ever encountered. I mean that all of his words seem to have been pre-concieved, had all the wrinkles ironed out of them, and examined once or twice before presented the outside world. It's interesting talking to someone who could somehow find a way to imply that you were a baby eating nazi and make it completely unoffensive.
Interesting, very interesting. He reminds me of my old friend Rishi, a Margi (Kind of like a Yogi) who used to be this dorm's R.A. I think I might call him up.

Date: 2004-05-04 07:24 am (UTC)One of the priorities I've come to develop in communicating with other people is to make sure that what I say gets understood; when people are too busy getting pissed or offended about how I say something, the chance for that happening drops to near-zero. ;) So, I make every effort to be sure that what I'm saying is clear, but empathetic. I don't like seperating people with words, and there's more than enough of that going around, you know? ;)
Anyway, it was nice meeting you. I hang about FT on a semi-regular basis so I'm sure I'll see you around. :)
